About the Project

The Los Angeles County Department of Economic Opportunity, in partnership with Genesis LA Economic Corporation, launched the Commercial Acquisition Fund (CAF) to provide grants to qualifying nonprofit organizations to support the acquisition of vacant or abandoned land and buildings in designated communities that were most negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Our goal was to successfully reflect a cohesive visual identity for the initiative, safely and securely manage participant data, and reinforce audience trust and familiarity with the organizations.

Key Features

Streamlined and Accessible User Experience

The website needed to prioritize a smooth and intuitive user experience for a wide demographic, ensuring easy navigation, accessible features, and efficient interaction for users of varying language and technical abilities.

Seamless Brand Integration for Web

The CAF program was a project of DEO and managed by Genesis LA, and thus needed to merge the identities of both organizations. Office of: Office created logos and illustrations for the project, and our team led the brand strategy and implementation for web applications.

Secure Data Management

The website required the implementation of proven security measures and technologies — such as Dropbox, secure forms, and backend content management — in order to protect user data and maintain the confidentiality of uploaded files.
